Fairmont Singapore revs up the world’s only F1 night race in Singapore with the unveiling of the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari today at its Italian restaurant Prego. It is the car’s first appearance outside Europe.

Owned by one of Fairmont Singapore’s loyal guests, and car enthusiast and collector, Kumar Balasingam, the car will be on display at Prego till 30 September.

The car’s superb performance is guaranteed by a 1.4 Turbo T-Jet 16v engine, tuned to develop 18o bhp and an electrically-operated Abarth competition gearbox with race-inspired paddle gearshift.

Abarth and Ferrari are two great names that have contributed, with conviction and dedication, to the legend of Italian racing that is known around the world.

The tie between the two companies has been reinforced above all by the exhaust systems designed by Abarth specifically for the cars built at Maranello: numerous exhaust systems have been made for various Ferrari models, some of which have won World Championship titles.

The two brands have recently renewed their collaboration. The first result of this was the supply of a limited and numbered series of Abarth 500's to Ferrari's European dealers in recent months for use as "courtesy cars".

Now, attention turns to the new Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari, an exclusive vehicle that not only enables Abarth to extend its range by entering into the luxury sports car market, but also offers Ferrari customers a small but exciting small car for all their mobility needs, including practical urban mobility.

During the recent race weekend in Monza, Italy, Ferrari drivers Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso were each presented with the power-packed car.

The TL Energy Drink was promoted during a Kitesurfing Tour in Kenya.

From mid-December 2009 to mid-January 2010 a kitesurfing tour sponsored by Tonino Lamborghini Energy Drink took place against the beautiful backdrop of Kenya.

The white beaches of the Watamu Marine National Park and the golden beaches of Che Shale (Mambrui), located about 100 km north-east of Mombasa, hosted the Kitesurfing Mission Tonino Lamborghini Energy Drink. Che Shale is a natural paradise and it has the biggest and best equipped kitesurfing school in Kenya.

With the support of Justin Aniere, who day after day made sure everything was perfect – the bar, the restaurant, suits, qualified instructors, the beach controlled with assistance – the kitesurfing tour went so smoothly. Kitesurfers Gianluca Merla and Sara Fontanelli used the Tonino Lamborghini Energy Drink boards and were wearing the Tonino Lamborghini Energy Drink clothes.

On New Year’s Eve in Mambrui (10 km north of Malindi) the barmen from Che Shale served the Keynesian national rum mixed with Tonino Lamborghini Energy Drink.

Naturally and logically following on from Tonino Lamborghini’s passion for speed and extreme sport, the brand now presents a complete debut Kitesurfing collection.

The decision to develop and eventually produce an entire line dedicated to this sport also directly stems from an exclusive collaboration set up between the company and the Italian Kitesurf Associatio(www.kitesurfing.it), which Tonino Lamborghini has backed over the last year at various sporting events aimed at promoting the sport both at home and abroad.

Each item in the brand-new line evolves from a need to combine the wearer’s strictly technical prowess with comfort, practicality and the look of an athlete anxious to experience that unique intoxicating feeling of a seaside break.

Whilst mainly catering for a masculine target group, the Kitesurfing collection also includes some purposively designed items for female kitesurfers.

In fact, it numbers no less than 25 items designed to suit three different situations; the first, Before, includes garments for travelling and wearing on the beach, Bermudas and cotton T-shirts, piquet polo shirts, top riders with perspiration proof collars; these are followed by the During line, clothes to take to the waves in, such as shorts and T-shirts in technological fabrics, denim, breathable microfiber, ideal for the sea, whatever the weather, including the worst; the series obviously concludes with After, clothes for relaxing and socialising in after a kitesurfing session, including cotton shirts, sweatshirts, washed and sulphur-treated cotton gabardine cargo pants and jeans.

Le Kiteboard Tonino Lamborghini sono realizzate con un’intera anima in legno listellare, che evita la presenza di giunture su tutta la lunghezza della tavola, perché i listelli sono incollati uno di fianco all'altro.

L'outline dell’anima della tavola viene prodotto con una speciale macchina a controllo numerico per garantire il massimo della precisione.

All’interno della tavola vengono inseriti tasselli e bordi ABS, successivamente vengono preparate le pellicole sublimate per le grafiche.

La tavola è realizzata con resine epossidiche e fibre di vetro; il materiale viene poi inserito in una pressa per poter dare forma alla tavola e riscaldato ad una temperatura tale da poter garantire il massimo delle caratteristiche meccaniche strutturali.

L’ultima rifinitura è fatta a mano dagli abili artigiani della Hydro.
